In the midst of all the excitement over ABC's new shows, I forgot to point out a bit of gossip that sprung up around one of the old ones: "Grey's Anatomy." There have been rumors floating around for a while now that someone — maybe TR Knight, maybe Isaiah Washington, maybe Sara Ramirez — could be leaving the show at the end of the season. The Knight and Washington rumors date back to the on-set scandal last fall, while Ramirez's departure would pave the way for George and Izzie to be together — and when a reporter recently asked Ramirez if she'd be back, she responded with a "maybe."
Before ABC's schedule presentation, reporters asked ABC President Steve McPherson if someone would indeed be leaving, and his responses were less than reassuring; according to E!, the answers "ranged from 'at this point, nothing's been decided' to 'The show will return intact next season' to 'Most of the cast will return.'" Yikes!
So, do you think someone's really leaving? And if so, which cast member will it be?

i kinda hope it's george. is that wrong?
1I really hope that none of these characters leave the show. But it would probably make the most sense if Callie left although I love her.
2sadly, i bet it's sara, although maybe this is a trick question since Kate Walsh is leaving and that's who it really is! i like callie and wish the show would stop indulging the childish fancies of george and izzie.
3I can imagine both Sara and TR leaving. Their on-screen marriage is bound to blow up at some point, the way the show has been lately. Personally I hope TR leaves. I don't like how his character has changed, and I can sympathize with Sara's character more. It seems more likely that she would get squeezed out though.
4maybe Richard is leaving and they will finally appoint a new chief.
5I don't think it's Sara Ramirez since she was in attendance at the upfronts, although I both want her and don't want her to go. I actually really like the thing she has with George no matter how tumultuous it is, and I like the chemistry with her and Addison and wouldn't mind seeing her on Private Practice for a short arc.
The show set up George to be the one to leave but I doubt they'll actually write him off the show, especially considering how favorable his character is (even if he is a cheater).
As for TR Knight, I'd hate to see him go. Despite al lthat controversy late last year the character is kind of a main player on Grey's and I don't think I would like his absence.

8I think it is going to be Callie and I think it sucks! I really like her! She is not all skinny and fake like the rest of the girls. She is totally real, and not afraid to say what she means! I hope I'm wrong and that it is Burke that leaves, but somehow I doubt it.

11Sadly, I think it will be Sara Ramirez, her and George will break up and since Addison is leaving she won't have anyone left for her there so she'll leave too. I like her and don't want her to leave though.
12I HOPE its George. When he is on screen I am immedately annoyed. This is mean, but I wouldnt miss him AT ALL. (This "new" George anyway.)

16i hope that no one leaves the show, but if george and izzie get together then callie just becomes like addison. like scorned, but still really likeable.

19It could be Kate Walsh, but I'm actually hoping it's McSteamy. Once Addison is gone and he doesn't get Chief (oh, come on, there was never really a chance--it's going to be either Derek or Preston) then he'll leave. At least that's what I tell myself.
If Callie and George split up, then I think that Sara Ramirez will leave the show after a few guest starring occasions. Really, there are only so many awkward encounters you can have with your ex before it gets old.

kendelheart, I was thinking the same thing about Isaiah. If he gets left standing at the altar, maybe that will be the first clue.

Sara Ramirez has really brought something to the show. It would be sad to see her leave. With Walsh gone someone has to add a little sass.
George's potential transfer to Mercy West leaves things open for TR Knight.
I think it will be Sara, which I hate. But the GA writers seem determined to not let any marriage or relationship end happily ever after or even be happy for longer than 5 episodes. Bastids.

30Sara Ramirez has been such a breath of fresh air to network tv. Her character is strong and no nonsense. Plus, sister's got curves and isnt afraid to work them. With the news of CW canceling Veronica Mars, I leave nothing up for a sure bet in the hands of network execs these days.

33Kate Walsh is obviously leaving because she has her own show now. Isiah Washington got fired (which I think is so wrong and he was great on the show). I think T.R. Knight should leave or get fired. He's annoying-looking, his character's messed up, he flunked the intern test...he should just leave.
34I think IW got fired.... I don't think TR should be punished for something IW did... SR is awesome, and George is totally messed up, so she might leave... I think IW will be first to leave though...
I just thought it was funny how like he said he didn't wanna marry Cristina, and then like.. she gets home.. and he had time to take his stuff and clean out lol
35I really doubt TR will be leaving, because mostly everyone loves his character & thinks hes awesome [including me] so im not gonna worry about george. But the whole scandal thing w/Isiah, i think hes gonna get the boot. If not it'll surely be Sara cuz Stevens & O`Malley really need to be together cuz you can tell theres so much chemistry between them. I didn't really like the whole Isiah & TR up roar, but im leaning towards Sara even more now. I think she might be going.
36But besides all that i LOVE George O`Malley! :]
